HRA has an immediate openings for multiple Land Surveyor | Entry Level positions to work with our experienced field crews! Limited to no experience necessary. HRA is looking for motivated individuals with the drive to learn on the job.
Hugo Reed and Associates, Inc. is a proven professional land surveying and civil engineering firm located in Lubbock, TX. We have been in continuous operation providing services to the South Plains of Texas since 1948!
This position will work with a field crew under the direction of a Survey Party Chief. This position will have the opportunity to grow and develop Land Surveying skills!
This applicant will be performing in areas of:
- Support the Survey Party Chief in the field as required for field survey work for a wide array of projects such as boundary, topographic mapping and construction staking and other tasks.
- Ensures the safety of personnel and equipment
- Eager to assist with preparing preparation of all data, charts, plots, maps, records, and documents related to surveys
- Assist with verifying accuracy of field survey data including measurements and calculations conducted on survey projects
- Assist with quality control checks of field data
- Ensure schedules and productivity objectives set by a supervisor
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to manage workflows to meet deadlines.

Required:
- Must have valid driver’s license
- High School diploma or GED
Qualifications:
- General knowledge (1-2 years) of Land Surveying a plus but not required
- Enjoy being outside, and have good work ethic, willingness to learn on the job
- May lift and carry up to 50 pounds, hike up and down steep slopes carrying up to 50 pounds of survey equipment. Employees may be asked to walk on uneven terrain daily and may experience extreme weather conditions
- The employee must be able to concentrate on details, work under deadline pressures, apply sound logic and judgment, and prioritize tasks and responsibilities
- Solid listening, writing and verbal communications skills
